Life in Calabasas

Life in Calabasas

This weekend, I decided to spend some time in Calabasas after my home showing.  A lot of people have heard about Calabasas in the news as being a place where all the movie stars live.  Here's a little glimpse of what Calabasas looks like for those who have not visited the city.

On the weekends, Calabasas has great restaurants with live music being performed in the summer time.  Imagine having dinner with your family or friends while listening to some nice jazz music or a classical piece.  Or, going to another restaurant on Calabasas Road where you dine at one of the many restaurants.

If you are a golfer, you can enjoy tee-time at the Calabasas Country Club... as they call it on their website, "movie-inspired" golfing...

Tennis lovers are also in for a treat.  If you live in one of the many gated communities, there are tennis courts in many of them.  However, Calabasas also has a great Tennis & Swim Center for all ages, including a fitness facility and tennis lessons.  You would need to check with the Calabasas Tennis & Swim Center for more information.

And, if you want to go to the library, it has one of the nicest ones in town.

Can you believe that Calabasas actually has a lake for residents in the Calabasas Park area?  It's hidden, but there is a lake where you can dock your boat or take a casual stroll along the lakeside.

Calabasas Lake

This beautiful community has many hiking trails... too many to post in this blog.

With so many amenities, it's no wonder that people want to move to Calabasas or the surrounding communities.

Calabasas is considered to be in Ventura County though it borders Los Angeles County.  The City is close to many surrounding Los Angeles City cities, such as Woodland Hills, West Hills, Canoga Park, and Winnetka to name a few.  All of those areas are known to be up and coming neighborhoods.  The Woodland Hills area has developments currently in progress which are increasing the value of the neighborhood as well as bringing in more jobs to the community.  In terms of homes, you can find homes that are condos to luxurious residential properties in the gated communities or near the Lake.

If you are thinking of purchasing a home in the San Fernando Valley, including Calabasas, or are thinking of selling, please contact me at 818.527.2466 or HomesByTalin@gmail.com and I will be glad to assist you in your real estate sales transaction.

Los Angeles Lifestyle

Have you ever wondered how it would be like to live in Los Angeles?  The home of the movie studios and, now, the tech industries with some of the biggest technology companies located in Los Angeles or the surrounding counties.

Imagine waking up in the morning, grabbing a cup of coffee at a local cafe and heading out to your workplace.  In the evenings, there are a variety of restaurants.  You could even decide to drive out to the beach or go to dinner at a unique restaurant in the hills.  There are comedy clubs, dance clubs, concerts, theaters, museums, and, of course, shopping.  What about golf or tennis on the weekend?  Oops... I forgot to mention the sports venues, but the list of things to do in Los Angeles is innumerable...

And, Los Angeles is not only for adults, but also for kids. If you have children, there are so many options anywhere from going to the many parks, movie theaters, amusement parks, or unique activity venues, such as indoor rock climbing.  The schools are great too.

If you are thinking of purchasing or leasing a home in Los Angeles, you are in for a great variety, whether it be having a suburban or city lifestyle, Los Angeles has it all.  You can be in the suburbs and drive to the mountains or beaches within an hour or two.

For all of the architecture admirers out there, Los Angeles has some of the newest home developments with their modern styles as well as homes that are unique with their early 1900's charm.  It all depends on the location you want to make your purchase in.

A real estate professional, like myself, can help you find your dream home.

The first decision about relocating to this beautiful city is when?
